Crafted from 100% natural tallow, this is a return to tradition. For generations in the Faroe Islands, people lived from the land and sea, using every part of the animals they raised—for everyday living. Tallow was once so valuable it was considered a form of wealth. Stories tell of islanders burying it deep in the ground to protect it from passing pirates. Even today, well-preserved tallow has been found years later—proof of its remarkable longevity. By bringing tallow back into use, we honor a more sustainable way of living—reducing waste and respecting what nature provides. Made from tallow sourced from grass-fed sheep and cattle, this cooking tallow offers a clean, sustainable, natural fat with a story rooted in heritage and the Faroese landscape. Naturally long-lasting: keeps up to at least 1 year at room temperature, 2 years refrigerated, and several years frozen.
